These three sea forts were built by the French during the reign of Napoleon III, for protection from the British Navy back in the 18th century, these three sea-forts have since been abandoned and  now being renovated as luxury getaway hotels. The Horse Sands Fort is now a museum, the Spitbank Fort has been transformed into a luxury hotel with eight suites, and the No Man’s Land Fort will become a bigger hotel, able to accommodate more guests.  Spitbank Fort, in addition to the suits, is offering a relaxing lounge, a spa, a heated outdoor pool, a bar and a fire place. The project cost the owners about $ 4 million.
